: Christina Ohly Evans

As an original member of the team behind i Village, and the original Producer of its flagship brand, Parent Soup, Christina has worked in the online content and creative development space for the past fifteen years. She was a Creative Director at Oxygen Media, an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for internet incubator, idealab!, and has consulted extensively for AOL UK, Yahoo Europe, UrbanBaby, and Rodale among others.  Christina's background also includes work in print media (US Magazine, Time Warner publishing), movies (Savoy Pictures) and television (Oxygen Media).

    

For the past five years she has written extensively for DailyCandy and has served as Editor, DailyCandy Kids NYC, where she covers the areas of food, design, and lifestyle. She is also a travel writer for Cookie magazine online. Christina graduated from Williams College, lived in London for five years, and now resides in New York City with her husband and two children.


: Lexy Schmertz

Lexy has a diverse background including finance, business development and editorial. She worked in the M&A Group and the Energy Investment Banking Group at Goldman Sachs before joining Henry Kravis' New York City Investment Fund as the Director of Finance and one of three founding members.  As such, she analyzed the strategies of numerous small businesses alongside industry experts, including McKinsey and Warburg Pincus, and participated in allocating funds. In 1998, Lexy moved to Tokyo, where she worked as a journalist for the Financial Times and launched the FT’s Japanese Internet coverage.  She also wrote a weekly restaurant column for the Daily Yomiuri, the largest English language paper in Japan. And in New York, she worked as a freelance journalist, writing for Modernism magazine, UrbanBaby.com and Time Out New York Kids.


For the past eighteen months, Lexy has worked as a contributing editor at Cookie, developing content and strategic partnerships for the website, cookiemag.com and the magazine.  Lexy graduated from Princeton University and has an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth. She lives in New York City and Guilford, CT with her husband and three boys.
